Default Charles Wicht and Corvette win at SCCA SARRC today at Daytona

Charles Wicht of Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys and his Rocketsports Corvette C6 took the first round of the Double SARRC races at Daytona today winning the SCCA GT-1 class, while clocking a personal best lap of 1:49.918. Wicht finished 2nd overall, right behind the ASR class Riley Daytona Prototype of Henry Gilbert.

Despite the heat (around 100), Gilbert and Wicht pushed their rides to speeds right around 200 mph on the oval.
