Stanford's autonomous Audi TT at Thunderhill
The lines aren't looking too great yet, but hey it's not a bad start. At least they're squealing the tires a bit.

great engineering excercise, yes. However, here's a revolutionary idea for the mfg's. How about build a real driver's car. No BS like traction control, active handling, abs, all the worthless electronic gizmos. You know, a car that actually needs a driver with a brain. Instead of building up all this technology they should require driver's to actually learn to drive before issuing licenses. Bonus, less cars on the road.

Bob Lutz spoke about how complete autonomy would be incorporated in future modes of transportation at Katech's Track Attack last month. It's closer than we may prefer.
