Default Can anyone confirm spring kit 12499224 are the same as LS6 "yellows"?

Ordered two sets of "LS6" springs PN 12499224. One for my Z06 and the other for the LS1 crate motor I'm putting in my father's Panoz. I was surprised to see they're darker blue just like my old 2001 Z06 springs. I even compared them to some of the old springs I took off my car and they look identical. I was expecting a really bright royal blue as per Geerookie's pictures. Did I get something incorrect, or has GM gone back to making them darker blue?

Thanks,

Brian

EDIT

Looks like the new springs are indeed more blue than the old 2001, they just don't look quite as blue as the ones Greg got so my mind was playing tricks on me. Also they pop under my garage lights vs. when I first opened the box inside.

'99 LS1 spring
Shape - Round
Width - 0.182"
Height - 0.182"

2001 LS6 spring
Shape - Oval
Width - 0.202"
Height - 0.162"

New LS2/LS3 spring
Shape - Oval
Width - 0.214"
Height - 0.172"

Clearly these springs are beefier than the 2001 Z06 springs. It's easy to see just from looking at the pictures. When I get around to pulling my heads for the lifter swap in a couple of weeks I'll make sure to compare the yellows I'm replacing.

Greg's post pretty much confirms it, but the springs I got don't look bright blue like this...

Yellows are no longer available, only blue. I have never seen a cracked blue one, but I am concerned that the blue ones are slightly smaller in wire diameter than the yellow ones, which more than likely means slightly less seat and open pressures...

I'll check the wire diameter vs. the yellows I'm taking off my car for the normal preventative maintenance spring swap. However, the stuff I've read says the specs are the same as the yellows, but that could just be bad info. It wouldn't surprise me that GM just went back to the older/softer blues when they introduced the LS2 which was the '01 LS6 cam/heads on a 6.0 motor and then just stuck with them. What makes me curious is how Greg's picture shows super bright pretty blue springs, but the brand new sets I got look old/faded/dark like the original ones I pictured in my first post.

The wire on the yellow springs is elliptical rather than round.

.204" wide x .170 high is what I just measured.

They were made by Mubea in Germany.

Thanks for measuring... you motivated me to do some research and pretty much answer my own question. Only thing I don't have is a spare "yellow" spring to measure as they're all in my engine still.
