Default Grippy pedal covers: pyramid, grid, or something better?

http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...ingpedals.html

Is the accelerator wide enough to reach the pedal for some consistent heel/toe action? I can only reach when I'm wearing my boots, but I won't track with the boots although I have actually considered it. My guess is yes, but pictures aren't as good as first hand experience. I'm also wondering if I should go grid or pyramid? Block claims to be for road racing and pyramid for auto-x, but I feel they might be splitting hairs. I want these so my feet don't slip when it's wet and so I can heel/toe like a boss because I'm sick of missing the gas half the time when it's 20 miles from the brake. I mostly do HPDEs. I considered Elite Engineering's gas pedal, but CCA is a better bang for the buck and solves the slippery pedal issue too, unless there's a better offering out there that I'm missing.

I bought a set of the grid style with no border from http://www.srpracing.com/ They were prompt in shipping and I like them for HPDE. Easy to install. No complaints. Call them and talk to them before ordering.

I have the CCA Block finish. Your feet WILL NOT slip. I heel-toe with my toes on the brake, foot at a slight angle, and roll the foot over to blip the throttle. I have a size 9.5 shoe so you might have to do it differently if your foot is much larger.

I have the CCA pyramid grid pedals and they are great! No slipping and it definitely makes it easier to heel-toe.

Kind of difficult to compare between the 2 huh? SRPracing is $10 cheaper and they look identical.

Yeah, they look exactly the same...probably made by the same people and CCA and SRP just distribute them. Either way, buy some and you will not be disappointed!

I got the grid from SRP and they really helped me with H/T... coming much easier now and I actually used H/T on the track at WGI in August... The wider Gas pedal is a big help and you will not slip on them.

Check out Ultimate Pedals....bought the big gas pedal first....great for HT shifting. Then added the brake/clutch with the rubber *** inserts. The nice part is that you can leave the rubber **** in or remove them or replace them with blocks. They also added the Z06 logo to my pedal. Great products.

I went to their site and they only show pics of the texture of the pedals. Got any pics? All 3 are the same price as the others, so they seem worth investigating.

Click on Pedal options and it should show all the finishes. I emailed them and they sent me a PDF of the gas pedal to check the size. The guy has a small shop so you will probably get the owner if you call.....very helpful. My car will be in the shop for the next few weeks (track upgrades) or I would send pics

I just noticed the pedal grip test page, that answers which is the grippier of the 2.

http://www.srpracing.com/pedal_grip_test.cfm

I just need to call them tomorrow and see what they have in stock. For some reason when I looked at their page today, I went blind and didn't see the phone number.

1 more question: are driving shoes more or less grippy than running shoes?

I also had the CCA pedal pads with the block finish. I really like them. No slip at all.

I ordered the SRP pyramid grid pedals. They're made to order, looks like a 5-7 day turnaround so I should have them for my track weekend on the 20th.
