Good Weekend for the BEMCO Corvette & Camaro at SCCA Daytona
We had a productive weekend at the CFR SCCA Daytona races with the Corvette taking second on Saturday in SPO (third overall) behind a GT-1 Camaro and a fast Nascar Cup car with me driving and second in SPO and third overall sunday afternoon with my partner Squeak Kennedy driving.
Even better, our BEMCO Camaro won SPO on Sunday afternoon and finished second overall with young Bobby Kennedy driving.
The Schwanke LS6 in the Vette ran flawlessly all weekend, 180 degree water temp, 240 oil, 60# oil pressure and allowed 180 mph in the trioval.
The setup by Woody Wood at Bemco was so spot on you could drive Nascar 4 flat with one hand if you wanted to.
We need to get better sneakers for the Vette as the two year Continental's were rock hard and had little grip in the infield and under braking. Also, need some more aggressive brake pads like PFC 01's or Hawk DTC 70's.

Tom Keleher and his GT-1 Camaro won overall two of the three races for the weekend.
Ron Stanley's ex Scott Riggs Nascar Cup Dodge (in the foreground) won the SPO class in 2 of 3 races and overall in one race.
