Congrats to Nick Hazelwood for STO & V8 StockCar GT-2 wins at the SARRC Inv Challenge
Young Nick Hazelwood in his CrossRoads Motorsports prepped C6 STO Corvette took both the SIC win and the Crane Cams V8 StockCar GT-2 class this weekend at Roebling Road.
Sunday Nick came home fourth overall behind two A Sports Racers and the ex Nascar cup car of Ron Stanley.
The Saturday qualifying race also served as a Crane Cams V8 Series points race and Nick took the V8 GT-2 class win in that one as well.
Randy Kinsland of Whittier NC finished second in the CCV8 series points GT-2 race in his C5 Corvette with Charles Rodholm third in a C6 Vette.

Nick's Vette is beautifully turned out. From the grid I was too busy to see how close the race was for those guys.
The GT1 Vette of Juan Vento had a LF tire blow and the steel cord in the bead wrapped up in the spindle. They finally got it changed on pit road but I believe they lost a couple of laps in the process.
Henry Gilbert who is no stranger to Corvettes brought his Riley Grand Am Daytona Prototype to run against Jacek Mucha in his Mazda LMP2 car. Jacek out qualified Henry by about six seconds but as Henry said after the race, "qualifying ain't racing". Henry got the jump at the green and drove a textbook race using the torque out of the corners and lapped traffic to stay ahead the twenty laps to the checkered.
Very nice day at the track, cooler temps and dry. I hope to get back up to Roebling for the Corvette Club's High Speed Autocrosses over Thanksgiving weekend.
Thanks to Bosco for keeping tabs and us informed of the Crane Cams V8 Stock Car Series this year. Now, when will we see you out there Bosco?
