What great weather and a nice turnout.
My car was not ready, so I was just a spectator. If you talked to a guy being led around by a dog that looks like my avatar, that was me.
Thanks to the ladies at the snack bar who brought out a hamburger patty for my dog. And thanks to Keith (#333) for the ride-along in his supercharged C5. You made both our weekends.

Absolutely great weather, could not have had better if it was ordered off a menu! This was one of the largest turn outs that I have seen, over 375 cars, the paddock was packed full to the bursting point. Congrats to Mark on the new TTA record ! Brian, time to get the car back together and get to work-----

I have been to the last 3 out of 4 VIR Oct events and they are just awesome, I love that time of year in VA. Cool at night, cool in the AM, perfect during the day, awesome star gazing at night, camp fires, etc. Good times. Ben broke, scott broke, brian broke, so TTA ended up a bit light.
I didn't make Fri practice and was feeling lousy on sunday am and left early, so I really only had saturday there. Tried some skinny 245 A6s on the TTA car and while the car didn't FEEL great (lots of low speed understeer, and forward bite was reduced), it was pretty fast on the clock due to the trade offs I got to make (gearing and much lighter weight) for the small tires. I sneaked a 2:01.5 out of it in the 2nd session and think I could have gotten a 2:00.xx on sunday (had some stickers waiting) but I was just not feeling well in the am. Not sure if we could ever get an 8.7 non aero C5 to go sub 2 min there, maybe with enough tire. I guess with PTA/TTA gone forever, it doesn't matter!
ST3/TT3 Sub 2 in Feb
I'll post some video soon.

My first Octoberfast with NASA and yes the weather was great a whole lot better than that Sunday back in February with NASA. As usual I meet great people and some sponsor's too
I think I made Finish Line Productions Not So Great Moments photo section for this event. Gave my instructor and I a T10 full off thrill ride I'm glad the grass was dry or I would've kissed the tie wall.
My first full off going backwards no less.
Yes the paddock was overflowing for this 4 day NASA event.I hope to make it again next year.
