Will this work w/small objects only a few feet long? Would be great to know the speed of various EDF jets at my airplane field.

It will get a tennis ball from about 80 feet and a baseball from about 150. I've timed bowling *****. Not familiar with EDF jets; I just surfed Google and they look pretty cool. If you want to buy one, call my shop on Monday. I have an essentially brand new unit that somebody returned. I can sell to you and you can try and return for shipping cost only. Then you are not breaking the plastic wrap on a new box if it does not work.

Regards,
Richard

It will measure the speed of your car, and other cars, through the windshield.

I forgot to mention that this is a K Band radar and it will set off radar detectors.

The radar conveniently uses two regular "AA" which will last for well over a year in normal use and are inexpensive to replace. It initially comes with two batteries, all ready to use.

What happens if you have your radar pointed out the windshield and police radar is pointed at you?

I dunno. Probably gives a totally weird reading. Do you want to use it to fake out the Smokies?

Ohhh, I'd never want to do anything that might be illegal but if one were to have one of your units on the dash seeing how fast other cars were going.............would it give the police a false radar reading?

It would be a good test before using one in traffic.

If so, I would think one might get cited for interfering with a police action. Could be worse than a speeding ticket.

A whole lot of nothing. Most people shoot speed with LIDAR (Laser) anyways.

On topic I have a radar gun and I've found it very useful for tuning purposes, use it at autocrosses all the time.
