Default good shocks for T1 springs?

Hi - just looking for opinions here.
For c5 z06 with T1 springs and sway bars, what are some good off the shelf shocks?
Looking to avoid $3k+ shocks.
TT3 car on 275 A6's.

I don't have personal experience with them so I could be off base but if you are looking to avoid the $$$$$$$ I would think that for an off the shelf option, the T1 Sachs shocks wouldn't be too bad of an option.

Sachs T1 shocks are pretty darn good. More expensive options are Penske double adjustable - remote reservoir. Or Moton shocks.

But for many, the Sach T1 shocks are great and a lot less expensive than the other options.

You might also look at buying a set of OTS Bilsteins and having DRM valve them for the T1 springs. That would make a VERY nice setup for well under $1K.

I've run T1 shocks and '04Z shocks back to back at the same track, same day, same conditions and the '04Z shock just felt better to me - a lot better. Granted that was with stock ZO6 springs, but I can't imagine the difference between the two spring rates would make that much of a difference.

And they were engineered specifically to work with the rest of the T1 kit.
