I heard it was TT3 spec. Good thing they alerted the classes to give other cars a chance.

I had never ran new tires with the M6 gearbox there. When you can use WOT in 2nd gear...you can scoot around there pretty good. I ran in Feb with the M6 but it was only with used tires.

I ran a 1:41.1 on 245s on saturday, boy you talk about having to stay on your toes I knew they would suck on a tight track, but I wanted to see how bad

wow love it. so pretty much just the mn6 swap.
how much do you think coilovers or stiffer leaf springs with "good" shocks get you?

for CMP, I think the OEM springs (as long as you aren't running the car at like 3300 lbs) are just about perfect. I might would try something a little bit stiffer, but I wouldn't expect much in results.

you'd go faster with T1 springs or coil overs.....no doubt...! You just don't realize how soft the OEM springs are until you drive a real race car with stiff springs.

Great run though!

I've driven a C5 with T1 springs, really stiff leafs, and really stiff coilovers. For sure at a lot of tracks (probably most) but CMP has so many areas where you are clipping curbs, running on the rumbles on the exit, and basically running 1/2 skid pads for most corners - flat, steady state, no real high speed transition stuff (like the esses at VIR where the stock springs are slow to react)

I just dunno how much you'd gain going real stiff there? It would be interesting to test. Also working the tire harder on a track that's already brutal on tires.

IMHO the nose pitch under braking is probably the weakest link with the stock springs. The feel is good, seems the stiff sprung car you end up going through a corner "because you should be going this fast" not because the car is talking to you.
