What I didn't know but do now is that NASCAR bought the whole shooting match!! Anybody think that's a bad thing?

It will either kill sportscar racing in the US, or be the best thing ever for it. Having a stake in both series, I'm hoping it's the greatest thing ever. Done right, it should be, unifying everything, and making Daytona, Sebring, and Lemans all relevant to the same cars will be awesome.

I think it was fairly obvious from the get-go where the money was coming from.... They car either do it right, or continue to bore us to death and lose the handful of fans that they have. I just hope they don't totally screw up the classes!

I think now there is a real opportunity for the MONEY ( NASCAR aka the France Family ) to tell the ACO what they want.
the US needs a 24 hour race too. Not just the LM 24.
Daytona and IMO Labor Day weekend would be another great time for a 24 hour race. Maybe COTA or VIR.

It will get road racing back on national TV where it belongs. A 24 hour race ? I'd like to see that at the new F1 track in Austin.
