Halo Seats for a C5 - Fitment - What do you have
Simple question guys... What Seats do you have in your C5's that have Halo protection, and I assume if you have one, you also put one in for your passenger so they have the same protection you do??
There are quite a few options but need to know what actually fits. I'm 6'1, 195, 34" waist. I currently use, and fit fine in the Corbeau FX1 Pro.
Thanks,
Steve

I have an OMP seat in my Z. 6 Point harness and full face helmet. It takes a little time to get used to because the visibility is restricted, but I do feel safer.

I currently use a harness and a Defender Neck protector. The neck brace has the side to side protection so I'm used to driving and not being able to turn my head much.

I've got an Ultrashield full containment and I love it. Aluminum is great because you can drill it wherever you want to mount it. I have a fiberglass seat for the passenger and it was a pia to get it mounted correctly because of the fixed mounting points.

Just had MTI install a Momo Daytona halo in my C5Z, along with their seat rails. I have tracked the car several times with the new seat and have no problems with visibility. I am about the same size as you and the seat fits like a glove and makes me feel much more in control. This replaced my Corbeau A4.

This is the MOMO Daytona seat installed in Z06TWT C5Z. Note the MTI Racing seat rails for proper installation.
MTI Racing seat mounts. These seat mounts are available in red, black, and natural.

I have a Cobra Evolution S seat on hardbar rails. 34" waist, 5'9", 185, wide shoulders, and it's tight, but that's exactly how I wanted it.
On the getting in and out part with helmet/hans on and a cage....that's an art form and a removable steering wheel is a big help. The tricky part is having to Bo Duke it to get in and out once it's in my enclosed trailer and the car's to wide for the doors to open.....

I have a Recaro Pro Racer SPG XL in my vette. Very good support and feels very comfortable for me. I wear a full face helmet with a Hans device, 5'11" 195lbs.
As for getting out and in the car, I do it depending on the situation. Normally I just take my helmet off and slide in and out with the door closed. It works well for me. But if its an emergency to get out or a drill, I open the door to get out. It's really tight to get out with my helmet on.

As for myself I still need more practice..
