Diff fluid change question
I ran a full autox season and 2 hpde events last year on amsoil diff fluid.
Is it time to change for this season or am I ok for another season?

A few quarts of fluid is cheap insurance. Diff's cost $$$$$. Don't neglect your tranny. Open the fill plugs take some out if the fluid smells burnt or funny change it. If its very dark change it. Since your that far along change it. We change our tranny and diff fluids on a regular basis and we change our customers fluids on a regular basis. The fluid changes will depend on what fluid they are running, track cars only that we have stepped the fluids up not as often as street/track cars that use OE replacement fluids. Now most our cars run Sebring, Road Atlanta, Miami Homestead, VIR, Barber.

AMSOIL rates the AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 (Product Code SVGQT) for 50k miles in severe service. Based on that and given your mileage, you should be fine to use it another year.
That said, I think the fluid see's pretty high temps at the track (not so much an auto-x) as well as pretty high shear forces - so I change mine once at the start of every year.

I use Redline Synthetics for both tranny and diff on my car and run 10-12 track week ends a year + 5-7K street miles. No problems after 8 years of this abuse. I only change once a year at the end of the season. You should be good to go for quite some time. IMHO unless you are an extreme duty racer, most folks change the fluids too often wasting money.

I'm also an Amsoil user and couldn't be happier with the products!
I use Severe Gear 75W-90 in the diff, Torque Drive in the trans, the Series 600 Racing Brake fluid, and their Power Steering fluid. I also use Amsoil 15W-50 Dominator Racing Oil, the WIX oil filter and their Coolant Boost. I check the condition of the fluids about twice during the season, and flush the fluids annually (except the engine oil which I change after every other event, and the brake fluid which I flush about 4 times/year).
I'm thinking about changing to their 75W-110 diff fluid next season.
As you can see, I'm a firm believer in the Amsoil Product line!
Hope my .02 helps!
