Seriously though, nearly 2 hours worth of work to remove the floor (its now a U shape) to add a 1/2" of head room might actually be worth it.
Now I just need to remove a little of the metal on each side for my sparco evo 2+ to actually fit, but the test fit was really close.

What are you using to replace the floor? It looks like you just cut out the top of the floor panel and the interior balsa wood supporting structure that gives the floor its strength. Might as well cut out the bottom and replace with sheet metal of the appropriate gauge.

OH! that would be great, but I wonder how safe that is with the cage?
