The Autocross Club of Central Oregon is hosting it's 3rd and 4th annual open track days at Oregon Raceway Park on June 27 & August 1, 2013. $175 for 4 one hour open track sessions. Rookies will have 4 thirty minute sessions with instructors. Unbelievably inexpensive track time.4 Hours on the track for $175!

If you've never driven ORP, it's like skiing double black diamond runs. With turn names like "The Half Pipe" it's going to be different from PIR. Many instructors say that when you can drive ORP well, you can go to any other track in the US and do just fine.

(This is not a race, this event is a driver instruction day for drivers

If you have some time watch the videos....but even they don't convey the changes in altitude, it's a hilly race track.

We didn't get enough pre-registrations for the club to take the risk, so June 27th has been cancelled. The August 1 date is still on. If you registered for June 27th you have the option of rolling it over to August 1.

Very disappointing, this would have been our third event at ORP and we've always had plenty of attendees before. Hopefully August 1 will go. Please register for August 1 asap. If it's cancelled you will of course be refunded your deposit.

Turn2 also cancelled its track day a month or two ago at ORP; what's up with this track? Are they charging more than the others? Is it because most are reluctant to drive since it's a bit far away? It's about 5 hour drive for me..

Anyhow, I was disappointed when the Turn2 event has been canceled. I registered for the Aug 1 event; I hope that event doesn't get canceled, too.
