Fitting Ecklers nose - Poor quality.
Many complaints about my experience with Ecklers and the quality of the product, but I'll try to stay focused on this one issue.
How the hell am I supposed to get around this?
They obviously took it out of the mold before it fully cured.

I think Jody had similar problems. They steal another companies design, they don't even have the decency to make it right!
I guess you will need to "shim" it with something....maybe balsa or another lightweight wood, styrofoam, etc????
How does it fit around the lights, hood etc??? I've heard that's not great either

Yep, that looks like the ones I've gotten from them.
We cut the notches off of the splitter and using spacers, we bolt the splitter to the nose and pull it down.

Can't you heat it and bend it over time - I thought Beretta had an issue with a hood a while back and was able to get the corners to bend down after using some heat and some weights?
After doing a couple ACP/Eklers style noses and then trying out the Blackdog piece I have to say how much easier the Blackdog piece was to work with. I think my last install took over 10 hours less time using the Blackdog nose. Also the undertray and splitter are one piece (which you can make adjustable). The ACP/Eklers style nose you are pretty well stuck at whatever angle things end up at.
I know they Blackdog nose is expensive but IMO it is so worth it. If I need to get access to the underside of the nose of front of the radiator I undo a handful of bolts that close the gap between the bumper cover and splitter then 4 mounting bolts - splitter drops down and I have access. I would've never wanted to take apart the ACP style set-up.
There is defiantly something to be said for ease of use.

Agree with what others have said. But let me correct something too, this is not an Ecklers/ACP product. It's an ACP product that was poorly replicated (stolen might be a strong term).
The heating idea is a great one that i would try first.

Scott, I am sorry that sucks.
I had no fitment issues between the front fascia and the splitter, but I got everything from Kerry at ACP. The holes for the splitter were molded into the fascia.
A heat gun does work pretty good, maybe you could go ahead and drill some of the holes to mount the splitter to the fascia and use some threaded rod and ease the two pieces together a little at a time as you heat the fascia up?

So they ripped off ACP and then couldn't even make a decent copy. I just love it. I think Eckler's has been through a half dozen owners in the last decade. they've been in trouble for a while now. Things don't seem to be getting any better over there.

I spent a few hours on it tonight and I came up with a couple of ideas.
Not sure how much time I'll have to mess with it this weekend, but I hope to have an update in a couple of days.

After talking to a good friend last night, I've come up with what I think will be a great solution to fix this problem as well as having an adjustable undertray that will be easier to adjust than anthing that's currently available. It will literally take less than 1 minute to adjust, no panels to remove and no busted knuckles. I'll post some details once I get all the hardware and do a mock up. Also, the whole splitter/undertray assembly should be removable in just a matter of minutes.
