Custom Camera Mount Bar on C6
Not finding a camera bar I liked for my C6 I decided to make my own. I wanted to mount a camera behind the seats using a truck bed cargo bar. I started by ordering a cargo bar that is infinitely adjustable. Just twist the two pieces and the bar locks together. Each end is adjustable with a threaded nylon and steel screw. The bar is Pit Bull CHICB141S 42-Inch-79-Inch Cargo Bar. Total cost was about $50 I did the welding. 
I cut the ends apart and welded a M6 1.0 bolt inside and a M6 1.0 x 50mm bolt across the two openings.
I screwed the ends into the mounting holes for the rear cargo shade. The offset was necessary to clear the lift struts. No modifications done to the car.
Finished Project
I have on order the camera mount the bar is 29mm which requires an adjustable piece. I will add pictures of the camera mount when it comes in next week.
Perfect height for my GoPro 3 to mount on.
Roof panel removed and stored in back
