The Waterford Hills people are great people, although the track is not exactly 1st class or up to date safety wise. I have run there in Vintage races back in the 80s. Their events were lots of fun. GM brass attends as they live in the area. In 1986 Zora and Elfie Duntov were there and Zora drove the "then new" 86 convertible as Grand Marshal and pace car. The party was in Clarkston at the CHURCH which was the home of an Attorney (really). Canapes and drinks were served by liveried waiters

Register at the event as on-line is closed.
Convertibles must have a roll bar and U should have run 6 autocrosses to qualify.

Growing up in Flint this was the first place I saw sports cars racing. I've been back a few times in the past few years but never driven the track in competition. I looks very technical.

It is a very short, low speed track with lotsa twisties. However, coming out of "Swamp Turn" onto pit straight is COMPLETELY sideways, looking out of the passenger side window, and if several cars are in formation, it's like a dirt track, with everyone facing one way (towards pit wall), and moving another (down the straight) in formation on full opposite lock
