Default Your Helmet

Here's an article I did a few months back. It's more than anyone needs to know about helmets. Actually it's what you need to know. It explains why you need a new one every few years and how to buy one that actually fits.

Thanks but everytime I click on your actual articles I just get a black screen. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what's going on. I just followed the link from above and everything worked fine. Maybe try Goggling CarTechStuff and entering the side that way.

Anyone else have that problem?

Works for me!

I just put a link to your article in a thread in the C6 General section where a member was asking about helmets.

Thanks for the great info.

Great read, Richard! Even though I spotted your article after I purchased my helmet, I'm glad to see that, for the most part, my decisions were right on track.

ps: I also read some of your other articles, and enjoyed the one about sway bars, (again, after I've had new ones installed!)

You guys are great. Thanks for all the accolades.

I've got a new article coming out this month on auctions. Did you know that not everyone pays a sellers commission? This year about 20,000 cars will change hands at the various collector car auctions.

My tech article will be on driveshafts. Did you know carbon fiber driveshafts have been around since 1988?

Wired has a new article on F1 helmets. We already know most of the stuff but it has some really cool links.
