EOC Thermostat
I'm installing a Dewitt's with EOC and am wondering if anyone has used a EOC thermostat to help get the oil up to running range in cold weather?
My track days have become far and few between but need the EOC due to 280-290's when I do.
Thanks

If the cooler is integrated into the radiator, the coolant will help to heat the oil. I haven't had any issues keeping oil at decent temps on the street and I drive the car until snow flies up here in Detroit.

I have the air-to-oil cooler stand alone unit thing and I use a polish T-stat. I blocked off the cooler and now I can get close to 200 when cruising in 90 degree weather. Which is way way better than 140.

Thanks for the replies looks like I'll be good in North Carolina which is a lot warmer than a couple other spots mentioned. Regardless, I guess I'll try it without one first and see what happens this winter. As mentioned there's always the Polish thermostat, and since I am Polish I can figure which part of the cardboard to put in first in a week or two .

I used a cutout from a plastic bin, drilled holes in the corner, and zip ties. I would run it the summer as well. Even in 100 degree weather, cruising, your oil is not warm enough IMO. I never remember seeing 200 degree oil off-track in Texas summers before I ran the polish stat.

I used a B&M Thermostatic Bypass Valve with my EOC that was built into a Ron Davis Racing Radiator. In cool temps ~ 45 degrees the oil temp wouldn't go over 140 or so even with a stock thermostat for the coolant. The passenger side tank on the radiator was always cold with those ambient temps so there was too much cooling for the oil. The bypass valve helped considerably but also increased my hot temps when running the car since a minimum of 15% of the oil bypassed the cooler. They had to do that to keep from getting air bubbles in the oil lines which wouldn't have done the bearings much good.
