Default Help me identify this fuel system part

Hey guys, had a small car fire due to overheating diff fluid 2 weekends ago. I melted the speed sensor, spewed diff fluid all over the exhaust and caught the wiring harness on fire. In the process of inspecting now, and noticed that the bottom of the part in the photo has been melted. Can anybody identify this part. It looks like it has a vent line from the passenger fuel tank and a red 2 wire plug coming from it. Its located just above and to the right of the tranny.

Thanks for any info.

Yes. You don't need it if you have a track-only car.

Thanks Ben. I ordered one on Amazon for about $17 only because the bottom melted out of it and I didn't want an open hole to the fuel tank. No harm no foul I guess...
