For those interested we will have our 54 Carrera car back on track this weekend at the HAWK vintage races. We took it to Sebring in March and fixed a few problems on it's second maiden voyage. Here are a few black and whites.

On Saturday Bill Von Esser Jr. will be with us in the pits. I am sure he will answer questions about the original car. One thing I found out when building the car was the original did not throw a rod as rumor has it. They broke the valve train and ended finding another in a school bus but by then it was too late to continue so they drove it home.
If you are at RA this weekend stop by. #12 will also be in town for the Friday night car show.

Thanks. I think it went pretty well. Only got lapped by three current GT-1 cars and 2 or 3 big block vets. I hate racing in the mirrors.

Here in the AC like any other sane person. there was an arm band waiting for me at the gate but the only ride I had was for Friday which I knew was going to be way too hot, glad you had fun though!
