Don't know if any of this will work for you. Most are better than rough and the wrong year. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a 68-73.

However, I think that I have that covered now. The body will be a race weight C3 with the L88 flares.
I will probably stick with the Nascar 12.91 rotors due to the relatively low replacement cost. My C6 tube frame car has this set up and it stops very well. The calipers are the big four piston Brembo's.

Just wonderin' Ben, what GT-3 cars are you speaking of? The ALMS GT3 Porsche Cup pole was 7 seconds slower than Tony Ave's pole time at Sebring. Tony was in the 1.59's
Ave was also 6 seconds faster than the GTC pole and only one second off the ALMS GT pole and also about 1 second off of Corvette Racing.
Rest assured Tony's budget is several million less per year than Corvette Racing's.
TA cars are amazingly fast, especially for dollar spent.

I was referring to the ALMS GT/LM GTE cars, the "3" was a typo.
I am interested to see where the T/A cars will end up once they get better tires.

I'm very curious regarding this project. Slowly modifying my 80 to be just street legal and a fun track day car. Wish I could go tube frame but way beyond my capabilities. So far I have a roll bar, flares, CCM wheels, zz4 with DN 5 speed, stripped interior with aluminum seat, my own upper and lower control rear suspension still using aluminum diff. Last project was making front end fiberglass removable.

* for me, cheaper than going out and buying a decent 69 roller for a starting point
* lighter, really should come in under 2500# pretty easily
* easier to work on
* relatively cheap short track and Nascar parts availability
* most competitive vintage look car I could build
* easier to repair crash damage
* something different
* easy suspension tuning
* readily accepts LS motor with crossover headers

Sounds cool...I am going tube frame for several reasons:

If you are looking for bodywork, talk to Kerry Hitt. We have been talking with him on some new things they don't show on the website.
He's getting a hood to Dave Bacher and talking about front and rear clips with the flairs already there.
Peter Klut has a really cool piece for the Convertible were the top and deck lid are one piece. Dave has one and it's really nice. Makes doing the roll bar and rear braces easier.
See'ya at Sebring on the 31-1st?

You likely saw the car that Kerry has helped Jerry Thompson with at the PRI show. It's a copy of one of the Owens Corning cars that Jerry did.
It looked great and the Vintage groups let him run it.
I've suggested that they bring it to Daytona and run it with HSR on the Trans Am weekend! I've also offered to crew!
See'ya in Sebring tomorrow.

This project has given me the incentive to get mine going again. I made the front clip removable now looking into how to separate rear body and glass. Tube frame like yours would make things easier for sure but working with what I have.
Sold house in TX recently and still live Plano but moved my project to AR where I have a nice barn to work in.
Interested in your front clip to see how I could adapt R/P front steer. Haven't found any info on doing one with the narrow track vintage offset.

I had the opportunity to get a 71 vert with a bent front pretty cheap, I was gonna cut off the front and rear clips and have Woody install the TA2 type and a fab'd rear. But in the end, decided to go complete tube frame.
Best of luck with your project
