Default WTB: LS6 crate engine

I am looking for a new LS6 crate engine for my uncles 02 Z06. Let me know if anyone has one laying around that they want to sell.

The RAFT theory is just like the big wheel on Price is Right.. You have to spin it to win it.

Thanks Geoff.. His old 02' Z06 has about 90k on it and started life as a Justin Bell school car. He's done about 30-40 track weekends on it and with it starting with 4k of track only miles when he got it. It's time for a new one.

The MO track was in great shape last weekend with the Nationwide guys leaving plenty of rubber for us to run fast on.

How's the car coming along for Utah?

The "Track Medic" has once again worked his magic and the car will be in top shape to make the trip west. Now it is up to the loose nut behind the wheel to not have another brain fart, as he did going into Madness, and we will try to hang with the big boys. WE take off Saturday! Yeehaw!!!!!

***************SOLD*****************

UH...not 3500 but is a good deal for a pro built motor with upgrades

Actually, it is a fresh ASA short block with LS6 heads, and:

* "243" LS6 heads with fresh competition valve job
* Crane 550 232/240 road race cam
* comp rocker trunion upgrade
* ISKY 165 A valve springs
* Cloyes upgraded timing chain set
* Katech rod bolts
* ATI damper and pulley
* upgraded push rods
* Edelbrock performer rpm 4 barrel intake
* MSD 6010
* coils

set up as a carb motor but can be reconfigured

getting ready to dyno, still at Byron Koury Racing engines

5000 as wet sump motor
5500 as ASA type single stage scavenge dry sump system

James - I have a pullout from an '01Z with +/- 117k miles. 116k street miles and probably a dozen track weekends. It's never been opened other than me robbing the oil pan and replacing the springs with PAC1218's (springs have 2 laps on them).
It's my "spare", but I'd sell it if you can't find anything.

Or...my big bad stroker motor is almost done being re- constructed..after being de- constructed. The temp caddy ls6 crate motor will be coming out at that time. its bone stock and has maybe 12 k street / hpde miles total. I was thinking I might be able to get maybe $4 k or so for it when the time comes.

I still have the LS1 from my Rolex car. I put ~ $3,000 in a recent rebuild. It really didn't need rebuilt but I thought it should be refreshed after 27,000 track miles. My Firebird could run away from the Z06's or at least hang w/ them, so don't be afraid of an LS1.
The car was been sold to make way for a Viper.
This motor is ready to go if you are.
