Melting Slicks
Wow, Andrew wins T1 and GT2 . Very impressive running a 2:15 in his last lap. Gotta love the confidence.
Sorry to see the contact at the start and the attrition of half the field over the race. Congrats to all who started!

Safety Car
Obviously the runoffs have lost all legitimacy since Scott Tucker didn't show up.
Is there any difference between GT-2 and T1, other than 100lbs or whatever?

Was Winkler involved in the contact at the start?

Safety Car
DNF, (11), George Winkler, Frederick, MD, Ford Mustang, 2.
DNF, (7), Joe Aquilante, Chester Springs, PA, Chevrolet Corvette, 0.
Kind of looks like it (sorry to see Joe A.'s DNF). If Winkler was involved, I'm sure Joe gave him an earful after what happened previously between them.

George unfortunately went off in someone else's oil in turn 12 a few laps in.
In turn 1, i unfortunately got caught up in contact between Pratt Cole in a Viper and Joe A.
From my in-car, it looked like Pratt came down on Joe, they touched, and Pratt spun across Joe's nose.
Joe hit his brakes as this was happening (of course, as he should have!), while I was directly behind him accelerating hard through turn 1. When Joe's brake lights came on, I immediately went to the brakes, but by the time I touched the brake pedal, I was already under Joe's tail.
I continued on until my RF tire, cut in the incident I guess, finally went down to the rim.
I feel horrible for being involved in any contact, especially contact that ended another competitors race. Unfortunately, there was really nowhere for me to go after Pratt and Joe had their contact. I went over to Joe as soon as I could to apologize, and he was gracious as ever.

Unfortunately the race ended early for a few of us... Jason did the best he could and it wasn't his fault.. Just one of them there racing deals... Jason is a good friend and always will be..
Pratt in the Viper was on the outside of me going in to turn one and turned in and began to spin. I thought i was far enough to the right but not enough... I hit the brakes as hard as i could to miss him and almost got stopped... Jason was pretty close behind so missing me was impossible.
Great drive by Andrew... his c6 is prepped to STO rules, 3135 pounds, ls6 engine.. Car ran well.. Driver was wired...
