Will there be a noise restriction at the NCM Motorsports Park?

The website is a little confusing as far as timeline goes. When it opens... what configurations will be paved and ready to go?
Do I read this correctly in that all of the pictured configurations will be part of the initial phase?
A track less than 2 hours from home. GET THIS THING DONE ALREADY!!
The initial phase will consist of a twin circuit arrangement of a two mile / 13 turn west course and a one mile / 10 turn East course which can be combined into multiple configurations. Both circuits will feature technical turns, straights and elevation changes. These two courses could be used independently for multiple events, or connected together into a unique large course.

The only noise restriction is that all vehicles must have muffler(s).
However, during racing events there is no noise restriction.
The MSP will be proactive on noise control. We will have a self imposed decibel limit, and maintain noise monitors at all times.
NOTE: We are fortunate to be located next to I-65. It is anticipated that track noise will only be about 3db above the interstate.

Perhaps I should ask a different way. Will the MSP be holding participants to a certain sound level, and what will that level be?

It is the preliminary consensus, however, that the MSP set a self imposed decibel limit, and monitor the sound levels. While the track sounds are only marginally higher than Interstate 65, we realize that the track noise is "different", and something the local area residents will hear.
Being a good neighbor is important for operations and future expansions, and we would rather address the issues instead of getting called down to City Hall to answer complaints. It would be reasonable for local residents to request a "quiet hour" on Sunday mornings, but there is no requirement at this time.
Regarding the self imposed db limit, it has not yet been established. It is anticipated that additional sound analysis will be done in the spring. It won't be difficult to take a few cars on the track, muffled and unmuffled, and establish reasonable standards.

Good work, Tom. If you have totally unrestricted, large diameter headers with a side exit it probably will be just a tad over obnoxious. Other than that I can't see a real problem. Just get the track finished already! Also, the newer tracks that are being built find themselves in this battle of DB levels from the communities. You want to run, don't sound like the space shuttle at lift off. Sounds reasonable to me!

NASA Great Lakes would be my guess. Typically the events that we've had at Putnam have been cross-over events (NASA GL and NASA MW) since it kind of borders the two regions. So this looks like another good option, we may even see a three way crossovers with NASA Mid-South!
