Default WTB: Aim Solo DL

Anyone have a used one they would like to sell?

Any vendors have a good deal or demo model to sell?

Anyone have a BAD experience or think there is something better??

Wow.......they must be really good since no one wants to sell one.

This is the racing section of the Forum, right? Isn't this what you serious guys use or is everyone using their iPhone

I use the $399 aim solo... Works great and the computer software was pretty easy to learn. I use the contour roam camera and race render to merge the files together for the data overlay. Find the aim solo way better than a cell phone. (My GPS on cell phone didn't work great so the data was useless from it)

i got mine from OG Racing. aim solo. love the in-car predictive display. worth its weight in gold for TT'ing. OG Racing gives NASA instructors a decent discount on it I think.

How do you use in car predictive? I'm an idiot. When I get to track and on the grid I turn the unit on. It defaults to whatever screen whne power on. It seems to know where I am after downloading all the tracks I visit. Then after the warmup lap it seems to start timing and give all the lap times. Once I tried predictive. I turned on the unit then scrolled the screens to what I thought was the predictive screen. Then started my race and it did not even start lap timing as usual. During race I could not fiddle with the unit. Got any tips?

DH,

Contact RichardEVO on trackhq.com. He had the DL and hated it finally sold it. Also, I am not sure if DL works on all C6's. I know it does not work on C5's and then the federal obd2 protocol changed in some way to the new standard in 2008. So make sure the DL works with your version of OBD2 or other smart people chime in. I'm just smart enough to be dangerous.

Keep the unit in regular at the start of the race. After you cross the line for the first lap and see your lap time, hit the far right button to enter predictive display mode. Before you hit that button, on the top right it should say "PRED" in the corner to let you know that if you want predictive lap timing, hit the right button (right button is the same button as power; you have to hold it for 3 seconds to turn it off but if you just tap it, it will go to PRED).

DH - Please pick one of these up before the WSIR event on the 14th. I've been thinking about getting one and would love for you to be the guinea pig.

Dave has the Solo if you want to look at that. Aren't you going to SOW with him?

Here you go Howie. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=914895

But, I think if you bought a new one from Apex Performance they give you a 10% discount and a free mount.

The used one above should be had for cheaper.

Thanks

That one does not have the OBII cable which would be another $50 so rather buy new.

Apex did not answer phone twice and did not return my call.

Bought one from Richard at M3-World yesterday. Excellent experience !!

You can just put it in predictive when you turn it on. Won't work on the out lap but once it crosses start finish it should be in good shape. Agree, worth its weight in gold.
