Default C5 Wagon Wheels on C6 Z51 for track days?

Im thinking of running 18" C5 wagon wheels on my C6 Z51. I would like to use the c5 17/18 but i am pretty sure the 17" will not fit over my front Z51 rotors and calipers. Anyone have any input on either set up.

Use the C5 rears and run them on the front of the C6 Z51

Get a set of C5 Z06 rears and run on the rear of the C6.

I used that for several years ... 18's all around

You're right about the 17" wheels not clearing the front brakes. The other problem w/ the wagon wheels is that the 18" wheel isn't wide enough for a big tire.
The 18" C5 Z06 wheels will fit and allow more rubber.
Shop for your tires first and see what size (width) wheel is recommended.

Yeah I figured. And I'm not too worried about tire width. I'll keep a stagger and eventually put a set of c5z on the back.

You are mistaken ... the C5 wagon is perfect for the front of the Z51 C6 car and runs a 295 tire.

The z06 wheel on the real runs a 305.

This maintains the correct rake and difference in diameter so the computer is happy and creates no alignment issues when swappint to street/track tires.

You're talking about the 18" wagons not the 17" wagons on the front of the c5 stock.

Pm me details about the location and price.

You can find more wagon wheels than you can shake a stick at on CL for dirt cheap prices. I see them all the time on there for $150-200 for a set of four.

Let me know if you're interested. My wife would love for me to clear up some space in the basement
