Default Barber Motorsports park/NASA February event: Track records? Vids?

I can only find a TTB track record vid on YT. Anyone care to share some good ST1/2/3 TT1/2/3, TTA, PT,A xyzdpdq vids? No I don't want your Blue group HPDE vid..

Making the haul from Dallas for this shindig, never driven the track and I'm not able to take time off to do the Friday practice, so I need all the help I can get. I'm 50HP shy of ST1 max and no aero so I should be running with the ST2/fast ST3 crowd. If I have time to safely detune 90hp I will but that is not likely.

I'm looking forward to making the haul with some fellow NASATX racers (Rene) and meeting some of you guys I only know from here on the forum: Harvey/Nunnally/Pintaric. Who else is going?

I wanted to go but couldn't swing off work...just bad timing for that month as I'm started a new job.

I'll be at Houston in a couple of weeks.

I have no idea who's video this is, but I doubt you'll find many better for learning the track at a decent speed. The rear view highlights the elevation changes pretty well.
BTW - Fear the tunnel turn.

Thanks, Jerry. My wife and I will be there for the Friday lapping day and then running our red #01 Z06 in ST3 and TT3 Saturday and Sunday. Red F250 with a black open trailer, drop by and say hello.

I imagine Morris (Z06Tracker) will be traveling with us. He is signed up with his black #03 Z06 for the lapping day and racing ST3 as well. Looks like it is the two of our Z06s against a flock of Thunder Roadsters in ST3.

Looks like a good ST2 field.

Yep - I tapped the guardrail on exit of the tunnel turn.

I will be in car #15 in TT something, maybe....but I will be there on Friday-Sunday (Friday for sure...)

I picked up over a second by doing this, had a good driver ride with me as a "refresher".

Between 13-14a seems to be a time killer for me, was hard for me to figure out. Most guys just coast or maintain through there.

Turn in a little late at 13 and straighten it out, stay up tight to the grass in 14, as soon as the car is over the rumble strips in 13 get on the gas HARD for about 1 full second. if you stay straight and on the gas as long as you can it will give you a straight brake zone and push you to the outside of the track to arc and enter into 14a.

I brake for turn 11 and don't touch them again until I brake for 14a.

Here is a vid of my slow poke DE riding.

And a track map for you first timers.

What turn # is the Tunnel Turn? Does Barber show up in Need For Speed or Forza? Right now this track has no turn memory for me so even watching the vids I'm not certain what set of turns is next.

Kevin/Morris/Scott we will definitely be stopping by and visiting, heck save some pit space for us if you can

See there you go confusing me again.. where did you find that track map? Its "upside down" from what Barber shows on their website and how I've been studying it here.. lol

Which turn is it where I always see the Mustsngs on TV carrying the right front tire over a curb?

And which turn did the Daytona Protoype shovel a face full of dirt last year or year before and come to a sudden stop?

Pretty sure the tunnel turn is 11-12.

DO NOT let off the gas going up the hill out of 12, keep your foot in the gas till you get over the crest of the hill.

11-12 is very intimidating, way more grip there than you think as the car is being compressed.

I found the map, as I do all of my track maps by Google. "Barber track map" and go to images.

All you first timers, make damn sure to make time to go through the museum.

It's a world class facility, the museum has no words to describe it other than incredible.
