Default Show me your racing interiors!

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has converted their interior over into a fully functional track vehicle? Currently I'm in the process of gutting everything, and I was curious what people have done to replace their stock dashboards with lighter, simplified racing variants. Can you please post pics and let me know if and where you bought it, or if you built it yourself? Thanks

I still have a stock dash and cluster, there is just nothing behind it. no HVAC, no airbag, nothing.

Everyone does what Spazegun has done or no dash at all. Other than a custom built one, the only "racing dash" I know of is through ACP "Kerry Hitt" Corvetteracingbodies.com. Not sure if its that much lighter once the stock dash has been gutted.

Thanks, I've been looking at the ACP stuff but there is practically no information available on it online. I just called them up and apparently they are going to email me some more info

Stock dash. No side windows or interior panels. Plexi rear and glass in front. It's on my Facebook page.

From what I've seen on the forum here (don't quote me), there are at least 2 "racing dashes." There is the old World Challenge dash that was in just about ever WC car that was build (this is probably from ACP). I'm not 100% sure if these were just Fibreglass, or if there was a carbon version as well. There is another that other people have used recently (I think this one is from black dog speed shop) and I think that is only carbon.

That being said, you'd REALLY need to be concerned about both looks and weight to invest in a light weight dash. There are so many other things you can address and save money on.

If you plan on running Touring classes, or Redline/GTA Time Attacks, you'll need your dash. Most of us have the stock dash, but with all the components behind it removed.

Form follows function and now that I have it working I have become distracted by the new project we talked about on the phone.
Someday I will get around to cleaning it up and making it look better
