Here's my practice run Saturday. My car is setup real loose right not. It rotates great around corners. 4th. overall out of 75 cars.
Sunday's race. I'm driving a 2011 GS Corvette. It's drives oppisite of my car. No rotation, just a lot of understeer. Still pretty fast though. 1st. in class. 11th. in PAX.

Nice runs Steve! Didn't you tell me long time ago that race tires were worth 2~3 seconds? Where do I find the other 3~4 seconds???
I did miss the course walk behind you to steal your lines and info, so walking my own lines accounts for at least 2 secs lost I guess...
So how does the C6 GS compare to your C5 Z06? Didn't you go even faster in the GS on practice day? Guess you did not have video for that one, lol.
Also, I would think putting the top back on the GS will improve times even more.
I know I can feel the body flex if I take the top off my base C6 on a canyon run, loses some precision in my opinion.
Dang it, I just gave away my only secret!

The GS had some understeer. It had a Pfadt front sway bar on it. Not sure what model. The power felt a little weak at low rpm's. I turned a 67.2 in my car on the 12th. lap. I turned a 67.2 in the GS in one lap. Seat of the pants, the GS felt like a dog. The GS had new Hoosiers, mine 48 laps. Not apples to apples. The GS needs some fine tunning. Richard is real tall and his head dosen't clear the roof with his helmet. So off goes the roof.
The next race I'm going to miss. PCA is having a event the same weekend.
So it's up to you and Randy to do the Corvette's proud.
35mm front sway bar. Hotchkiss rear. Stiffest setting. 18x10.5 all four corners. 315/30/18 Hoosiers A6's. Stock everything else.

Thanks. Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you all day. I was working when you were running. You looked great.

Nice driving. I'm happy to see how loose she was. I picked up some T1 bars for my C5 FRC. I'll also be running square. Rear spring is a little softer. If my car pushes, I'd like to pick up a Z06 rear spring, but we'll see.
