It is $899 plus shipping, but guaranteed not to be more than $995 shipped, so it all comes down to where you are located. The $995 price is already a very good price on this unit, so we are not going to get much better than that price.

Shipping is from the west coast. The manufacturer is in Ventura county so people in that area are paying $899. Those on the east coast will probably pay at or closer to $995.

It looks like we have four buyers on CorvetteForum:
  1. Redtopz
  2. OoldGuy
  3. Olitho
  4. TopMover
We have one more week to the designated date, but the seller wants the preliminary order count now.

Just look earlier in this thread:
"It is $899 plus shipping, but guaranteed not to be more than $995 shipped, so it all comes down to where you are located. The $995 price is already a very good price on this unit, so we are not going to get much better than that price.

Note that CA resident must also add sales tax.

Should we be at all concerned with the 3500lb lifting capacity, some of us would be cutting that kind of close, or am I wrong?

My car without me in it ranges from around 3000(no ballast) to about 3150 in T1 trim. Add close to 200 lbs if I happen to be sitting in it. Add 100 lbs more for a full load of fuel.

That is well under the limit without driver so I am not concerned. I can only suppose that Bend Pak has tested it well beyond the rated limit, although I am not the one to make that guarantee.

Oli,

Based on your experience, are you going with AC or 12V?

I am going with 120v AC due to my generator in the RV, my inverter in the trailer and AC power at certain tracks like ACS, although I am told the 12v DC is slightly faster.

I will ask Shawn to elaborate more if he can.

Oli

I'd be in but would want flexibility of Ac or dc. Would a 400 watt portable
inverter operate it in dc?

Very unlikely, the spec on their web site says:
* AC power unit: @2500 PSI = 11 AMPS / 1200 Watts / .15 GPM

You would be better of taking the DC version and having an AC/DC converter to plug in the wall (or just a spare battery that you maintain with a battery tender).

The order went in today for the first set of orders.

If you want one and did not order yet you can still do so by Friday.

Tomorrow is the last day to order for the group buy:

I just got this update from the seller:

We’re actually out until mid-April now. We’ve got 40 power units coming in early March but those are all sold out. He next batch of power units in April is going to be 200 units so we might be able to hold inventory this time.

If you want to cancel your order based on the wait time, please drop a message to Shawn at sampsonracing@gmail.com

It sounds like most of us need to wait about 60 days.

Kind of bummed out about the wait time on these. I think I want something easier and safer than my jack and jackstands. Also I don't have very much room in my garage to run around with my jack and its long handle, so these look really nice. Did you measure the span between jacking points? On another forum I read about a Porsche guy who can't use this because the jacking points are a few inches too short on the ramps.

Edit, ok only 36" between factory jacking points, have to check and see what the measurements are on the QuickJack.
