Default Replaced hub at track with borrowed tool

I replaced one rear hub at VIR a few months ago ...... I borrowed a tool from a fellow c5 owner that helped me split the a arms from the hub.. it replaced the old fashion pickle fork and you had to just mount this to the bolt then tighten it down and it just "popped" apart with a slight tap on the arms... I can not find it on the web does anyone know this tool and where I can get it ?

Kent Moore J 42188 B works well. About $80 used.

I use this per Froggy - much cheaper. Needs a few mods to do the rear on a C6.

I've got the Harbor Freight one too. Works well and was much cheaper than the Kent Moore one.

That was me that you borrowed the tool from. It is the Kent Moore tool J 42188 B a previous poster listed the number for above. Spend the few extra bucks and get the Kent Moore rather than a knockoff. Quality tools last a lifetime. If you purchase used, be sure to inspect the threads carefully.

And watch out for cheap tool threads, too. I bought a knock off pulley puller and stripped the threads before even getting a good load on it. Use a little grease on threads bearing this kind of force for the full travel.

Yep plenty of grease. I like high end tools but I balance that with how much use they get.

Air gun every week Ingersall Rand, ball joint splitter once every 2-4 years HF.
