Default Studded A6's

Since it appears that the snow and cold is never going to end here in the midwest I am looking for some Hoosier A6's with studs to run this upcoming season. The amount of snow most surely will not be gone until the half way point of the racing season. If studs are not available how many mods points will NASA assess for tire chains??

1 1/4" drywall screws should work well.

Actually studded tires are almost undrivable in the dry. You would be better served with Blizzak studless ice tires. (I know you are kiddn about racin in the snow, butsome fools do it)

There are some high tech studded Nokians that are supposedly ok to drive on dry pavement, pretty neat:

How about doing like they do for motorcycle ice racing. Put tubes in the tires and then a lot of sharpened screws through the tire. You know the saying, go big or go home.

Come on down to Texas. Every three years it may snow over night, but track is always good by the time you finish eating brisket Taco Del Nortes for lunch. Going to the track this weekend. It will only be 57* so will have to go shopping for a sweater.

Starting to get a bad case of cabin fever.... It is so bad that I took some hot wheels from my grandson and am on the floor going around furniture with them making the zom zoom noise. It is kind of fun he has one stock car hot wheel like Bills race car that all the other cars keep passing.

They are 200 bucks each. Rated to 85mph, they take abuse and pretty good grip. 300 horsepower, 3rd gear you can start really putting some power into them. One night there maybe was or wasn't a high speed run via moonlight. Rumor has it they stayed together

They now have a 15 inch short profile tire, I move to the south then they come up with a good tire. Their old ones were like 28.5 inch tall...... They required major mods so they didn't eat sheet metal.

^^ That's my Black Beater!! Hey I'm to broken for snowmobiles & our winters are long. People get all bent out of shape seeing me do this to a vette. Reality is this thing was going to be parts car. I gave it a new life & it likes it. My shop is on a lake. I Have a talon turbo AWD they suck at limit. I have had more fun in this POS winter car in last 2 years than my carbon 427 Z06.

I'm glad that the IIRA has made a few changes to let you run that winter beater. It's a good club with falling car counts, so they have opened things up Back in the day these guys ran a 240 with a 351 ford motor in it. It had a very soft suspension setup. I was dicing around with him in the tight areas of the track. That SOB would pull the front tires off the ground coming out of corners It was a fast car when it was running.

The mud tires on my Wrangler kicked the show in the back side... just lift your Vette.
