Default Mechanics gloves question? The examination glove style.

Anyone found a good value for these? NAPA, Amazon, Ebay?

The ones I try either rip or dissolve with whatever solvent I use. I need to be using them more, my right hand is wrinkled & numb from brake cleaner I used the other day.

What have you got?

"Thicksters". They are heavy enough to reuse but thin enough to pick up small parts. I have to find out whose brand they are.

I use the thickest ones Harbor Freight carries, they're black and tough.

I use these from Home Depot. The knit back keeps my hands from sweating too much. The dexterity is pretty good and they last quite a while. I keep a couple pairs in my track tool bag as well.

What have you got?

what ever you use make sure it is viton and not latex the viton will take all most all solvents in stride. I like the heavy one s from harbour freight and usually buy a box or two every time they go on sale

I'm a Chevy tech... and I use diamond grip gloves everyday... hey are pricey but they have a bit of texture on all the finger tips and they are ambidextrous.

Longest lasting pair I had were Ringers and that was back when we were doing a bunch of engine swaps, etc. Latest pair I picked up were from harbor freight; they seem sturdy, but I don't have enough work with them to really tell just yet.

I buy by the case at gloveamerica.com I get the Sure Care owner free nitriles.

I also always double glove. That way if the top glove has too much gunk or tears I can peel it off and slap another one on. Nothing worse than trying to don gloves with sweaty hands.

High Five Onyx gloves work great for me, they're nitrile so not impervious to chemicals but they hold up pretty well.
