Default Small LS coils

At the Daytona 24 hours, Chevy had a C7 race engine on display. It had small Delphi coils , about the size of a 2-bite Snickers bar on a bracket mounted low on the block, below the headers. The whole package was 9-10" long. Just the thing for a street rod or retro engine swap. I thought I got a picture on my phone, but I didn't. Does anyone know anything about them?
Thanks
Jack

Could not think of a worse location - scroll down a little on this page: http://www.torquenews.com/106/new-c7...ed-win-detroit

I agree. Looks like they would get very hot, not to mention wet & oily. May have been for display only. But the size would make them easy to mount somewhere else.

Their headers don't run like a street car header system. They run them out then down out the side of the car.

Yes, but they still take up space/block access to the coil pack and they are still hot.
