Default Advice on helmet...

My head almost scrapes the roof liner on my Z already.

Any recommendations?

Full face and get a carbon fiber one.

Default helmet

Full face and the best (usually most expensive) you can afford.

Like David said carbon fiber, if possible. The weight of the helmet makes a big difference as far as basal neck issues. I did a T-bone hit at approx 110-120 mph about two years ago and I firmly believe if it wasn't for my hans and carbon helmet things would have been a lot different.

All of us want to spend as little as possible to achieve maximum results but in racing you never know what may happen, as a lot of it is in the hands of others. Even in TT or track day situations, all you have to do is to run across someone else's water or oil leak. What is the potential for loss of life or paralysis worth?
