Default Carbotech pad compound to Hawk equivalent

Hi all,

When comparing similar pads, what is the Hawk equivalent of an XP12 and XP10 compound?

Probably DTC60s. I would also recommend that you check out Raybestos ST43. After using the DTC60s for years I tried the ST43s last year and was very impressed with them. Same feel, similar torque, and better life for rotors and the pads themselves.

I have considered those as well, seems like lots of people are happy with them.

Does DTC70 = XP12 and DTC60 = XP10 sound right?

Having used all 3, I'll say the Hawks are KILLER on the rotors. They suck cold too, but feel great when warm and seemed impossible to overheat. The Rays were much easier on the rotors, but I haven't run them on the Camaro yet. On the Vette I ran XP10 and ST43 and the ST43 was hands down the better track pad. The XP10 goes a little soft when warm and the ST43 didn't.

I believe that is the correct conversion

I use that DTC70/DTC60 split with good results on an otherwise stock C5 coupe.
