Wheels Size - TSW
Anyone out there fit the TSW wheel on a lowered base C6 that can talk about fitment? (Interlagos, Nurburgring, etc...)
(Stock Rear: 10 inch with an offset of 79)
(TSW Rear: 10.5 inch with an offset of 65)
Will the outer extension of 20mm rub a 285/35 tire on a lowered car or will it remain inside the fender?
TIA - BierGut
(Also posted in general forum - hope that's not in violation of forum rules... just want to get widest audience)

I have a 2006 Base coupe. I use LG Motorsports World Challenge wheels with no issues on the street or track. Just try not to go to full lock on the streets while turning, it will rub on your brake ducting, if you installed brake cooling....but it's not a big deal at all.
18 x 10 up front with 275/35 tires
19 x 11 in rear with 305/30 tires
Nitto Invos.
I have it lowered all the way down on stock bolts. No tire rub at all. Only tire rub I've had was at Daytona doing 120mph on the banking.....so if you go to Daytona, raise up your suspension a little and you won't have any issues.

Thanks for the reply.
Just to be clear, the 20mm extension to the outside will place the wheel outside the fender? (this is the question I should have asked in the first place)
I don't recall how far inside the fender the stock wheels sit, but I would have thought 20mm was close, if not still, just inside the fender. The following line is is 20mm >> _______ (or just a smidge over)
I have a set of HRE wheels on the car that are technically too wide for a lowered car and sit too far out; they will rub on the street with a big bump or heavy lean from aggressive cornering. I am looking for a nice aftermarket wheel (reasonably priced) that won't rub now that I have lowered the car one inch. (27.5 inches measured in the rear)
I plan to track stock GM Corvette wheels.
Cheers

The wheel barely sticks out, but with a 285mm tire, the tread will be inside the fender or about flush. You shouldn't rub unless you are pulling over 1g in a turn.
