Default What rotors to buy?

Well the front driver rotor cracked the other day and it's time to buy a good set of rotors. I will be doing auto X and maybe a track day. I would like to get a pair for the fronts for under $500. What should I get. Thanks

Here's more than most people need to know about brake rotors. Or, as my friends at PFC regularly remind me - Brake Disc. What does the brake pad box say? Ok, Ok, I get it.

It's in two parts. You might also try a search on the blog about brake pads. I've written a bunch of articles about pad material.

You might want to look into Coleman. Two piece, slotted, made in the good old USA, and price, reasonable for the quality. I get a full HPDE season out of them, but I am gentle with the brakes (sometimes). One thing for sure, brakes are the most important consideration I give to my Z06. It goes real fast, and I want to ensure that it stops.

They are more expensive but I've gotten good life out of DBA's with Carbotech pads
on multiple vehicles.

Cooling ducts are your friend.

Rockauto.com has various Corvette sized rotors at lowest prices I had found online. Cheap blanks are what go with.

I got front/rear pairs for spares for $140 shipped couple of months ago.

This. (Hint: The Cadillac XLR ran the same size rotors as C5 and base C6.)

If you hunt the Brembo part number you can buy them for $95 shipped, I have done it many times(for 2 rotors).

That's good to know. I haven't found any at that price. Also, are those Chinese made Brembos?

Mine came in a red Brembo box.

Search this part number. brembo W0133-1687394

This is where I was buying them from, DO NOT buy from Amazon.
