Default C5 5 or 6 Point Harness Install w/ BK Bar

I'm looking for some guidance on installing a harness in my C5. I have the Sparco Evo II and a Brey and Krause harness bar. I found a helpful thread on the topic: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...t-install.html

But, I'm confused on how the lap belts install. It looks like the lap belts and sub-belt(s) need to use the additional BK hardware that attached to the seat belt anchors. I have the harness bar and hardware in hand. But, it looks like to do this, the lap belts and sub-belt all need snap-clips such as this: http://www.saferacer.com/g-force-snap-hook

I've been apprehensive to buy a harness because the harness I have in my Lemons racer has the anchored side of the lap belts woven so that the connector cannot be removed and replaced with a snap clip. So, this has me concerned that I will buy a harness that won't work for my application.

Can anyone please provide me with some direction here? Maybe I'm thinking of this incorrectly.

Thank you,
Andrew

The BK anchors are for adding a harness to your stock seat. What you want is a Hardbar anchor set like this: http://hardbarusa.com/hardbar/produc...products_id=40

It installs under your rear seat bolts. If you go with this setup, you WILL need those clips on your lap belts and sub belts.

Thank you for your input. Is there any reason the BK anchors wouldn't work? I still have the same attachment points required (stock seatbelt) so I don't see why not.

My main question is a dumb one. Are the anchors of the lap and sub-belts of all (most?) harnesses actually removable so that they can be replaced with the snap clips? The RJS 5-point one in my Lemons racer is woven around it and thus non-removable. I haven't dealt with many harnesses yet so I am uneducated.

Here's an example from RJS: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bo...8s06/overview/
"These harnesses are available in bolt-end, snap-end, and wraparound styles." Yet, I see no option when ordering.

Also, if some harnesses do have removable ends that would be preferred since I would like to bolt the sub-belts through the floor eventually.

Thank you for any help on this

Unfortunately, you cannot use the BK lap belt kit with a true race seat like the Sparco Evo. The kit works with stock seats or a seat like the Corbeau A4. The problem is two fold. First, the sub belt really should be routed under the seat back to front. The BK clip in kit make this difficult. Second, but probably more important, is that the BK kit puts the lap belts at the wrong angles, making them pretty much useless. I know because I tried. I have Sparco Pro2000s now and I came from Corbeau A4s. I ended up purchasing the Vetteworks/Hardbar mounts mentioned in this thread.
