Default Plug wire covers & lube

Doing wires & plugs. Do you lube the boots before snapping them on? With what?

Do you use heat insulation covers/ Which ones? I heard some of the "metalized heat reflecting" one can cause issues with electronic ignition.

Generic is fine if I can get the same thing from Jegs/Speedway/Summit. I'd rather not pay a Corvette tax because a vendor spray painted a logo on.

PS going with stock wires & 41-110 plugs.

The arcing I have is at the coil end not the plug end.

Thanks all!
