C5 rims on a C6
Will stock base C5 rims fit on a base C6?
If they do would it be a disadvantage on the track? I was thinking race rubber would be cheaper since the rims are smaller but don't know if there's a huge width difference that would effect grip.
I have a cousin who will give me some C5 rims but he's 2 hours away to pick them up. Thanks.

Yes, the 18" rims will fit. You can't fit a 17" rim over the Z51 front brakes, I am not sure about the base. It probably is fine since they are basically the same as a C5.

So actually another dumb idea. I wonder if I could fit c5 rear rims and tires on a c6 front and have same size tires all the way around. I want to say someone told me once that staggered rims aren't preferred on the track.

T-1 guys have been running c5Z06 wheels on all four corners for years. You are fine. The 18 x 10.5" will take 315's and you can run them for a square setup all around.

I ran these on my C6 base square set-up 18" x 9.5" just fine.
