You read it right, nice closeup of the driver putting it down b4 pit release during the Laguna Seca race last weekend .

Transfer of technology the other way.

It was video of the race on FoxSports1, the race announcer even made a comment. If you have it recorded, it's about 58 minutes left in the race ( I think).

Its important for a race drive to feel comfortable when driving at close to 100% for a long time! Chris Harris said that the new R8 LM car was lovely to drive and very forgiving. You may loose a 10th or so a lap but if it means a drive can keep it on the black stuff, or is more consistent over the session, then you will save time in the long run.

Uhm...

Yeah we had a tilt column and power sliding pedals in our ALMS car way back in 2008

Hell for that matter...the column was a modified factory unit.



Here you can see the sled and power unit for the pedal box.


We used the same setup in the GrandAm car and the last W.C. Vette
