Default MTI heads to Global Time Attack Road Atlanta

This May 9th and 10th will be the first round for this years Global Time Attack championship at the famous Road Atlanta road course. We are currently registered and will be heading to the track Wednesday night. Thursday will be a full practice day and Friday is competition day. We will be competing in the RWD unlimited class. We also will be supporting another C6Z06 customer who will be competing as well. Feel free to come up to the track and hang out in our pit and look at the cars!

Here is a picture for your enjoyment...

And yes that is 345's on the front...

I'd love to know how much angle of attack you need to run on the rear wing to balance out that splitter and canard setup on the front!

Does the diffuser run all the way under to the floorpan?

MTI always seems to do some really nice stuff with aero. Unfortunately no one there ever seems to be able to give any detail on it so it's always sort of like vapor ware. It's a real shame as they are one of the few that seem to really be doing anthing with it and I'm sure a bunch of use would be interested in possible buying some of the stuff.

Awesome. Can't wait to see it beat up on some Evos and S2000s that think they are the fastest time attack cars around.

That car is insane. I love it. Is it running your sequential transmission too?

It does run the MTI Racing Sequential 6 speed transmission. Lightening fast shifting.

Wing is set at position number nine. The diffuser runs all the way up in front of the gas tanks and seals at the rear most of the floor pans, we also have a front undertray that completes the package and makes the underside almost completely flat and sealed.

The problem with this is that most people would not understand any of the actual data or details. But most would understand raw time data that the car picked up with the aero. If anyone ever has any specific questions feel free to PM and any and all questions can and will be answered.

I was trying to follow on race monitor as my friend Kyle had his GT-R down there for it. Saw some really fast times the first day from you guys then didn't see any more, didn't look like anyone was even close to the times you put down the first day.

We ran a 1:22.55 on the Thursday test and tune day, then on Friday we ran a 1:23.22 in the opening practice session. The next session rained out and when we went back out in the later afternoon session the car encountered issues and it had to be retired. We brought our back up Silver C6Z06 and set a 1:24.9 on Saturday to secure the overall win and GTA track record for Unlimited RWD class.

That splitter looks like it is working as a squeegee on the track

It defiantly helps scoot some air out and suck the car down.

Car looks great! Have you got anymore pics of the diffuser/floor? Splitter is great also.

Quick question, where is the exhaust routed?

Currently we are blowing the diffuser. So the exhaust ends right in front of our MTI mid floor section.
