I used the 818XT, good battery life (lasts the whole day) and can be programmed to work in 1, 5 or 10Hz. GPS accuracy is good if you attach it on the bar on top of the passenger airbag. The signal is more spotty inside the car. Just don't leave it in the central console, it gets too hot with the heat from the tunnel and I fried mine during a 20min session by leaving it there.

I use the Qstars with Trackmaster set on 5Hz and it works great, attached with velcro to the windshield inside behind the rear view mirror.

You don't need to tape it on the roof?

Do they have a user forum or it's just other users here and there?

Hmm, not a good feature.

I guess once it's working theres not much to ask.

There is a good pdf manual on there websight as well as the book that comes with it.

Will need to load software on your computer to configure to 5hz or just run it at 10.

Also need the apps on your phone.

So I take it, once you set it up, done & done. No fine tuning stuff.

I used the 818XT with both Harry's and TrackMaster and it worked great. This model was recommended to me by the programmer of TrackMaster as the best one for the money.

I just bought an Aim Solo and will sell you the 818XT if you decide on this model and want one used. Approx 1 year old.

Good luck!

I have a 160 as i have an iphone and harrys and its the only one that would pair with the iphone of the one you have listed above. It's app is useless crap, but i haven't had any issues with harrys using the hardware and getting some good data.

Try to keep it away from metal.
Check that thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...ernal-gps.html

Check the onboard video starting at the 2 minute mark. I have both a Contour and the GPS on the bar:

Please explain what happens at 2:00 looks like the rear camera just slips or shifts & you shove it back in place? Are you saying it has something to do with the gps/mounting?

Do you have the "accessories" directions, charger etc?

You know what the new ones go for on Amazon. How much?

I have the accessories and directions. I probably still have the original packaging as well. I usually don't throw anything like that away unless it's really old. As a result, I have an attic full of empty boxes I'll check tonight and reply back with a pic.

Let me know if you need a mount for your phone. I have a Ram mount and x-grip attachment that I won't need.
