Formula One Monaco - TV Schedule
========================================
Formula One - Monaco Schedule on NBC and NBC Sports Net
========================================
THE LIVE SHOWING OF THE RACE ON NBC !!!
IT IS NOT ON NBC SPORTS NET!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
1. THE TIMES AND DAYS FOR THIS RACE ARE DIFFERENT, SO PAY ATTENTION!
2. THERE ARE FOUR SHOWINGS OF THE RACE THIS SUNDAY (!!)
3. THERE IS ONE SHOWING OF THE RACE THIS MONDAY
4. THERE ARE TWO SHOWINGS OF QUALIFYING AND TWO SHOWINGS OF PRACTICE.
5. ALL PROGRAMS ARE ON NBC SPORTSNET THIS WEEKEND EXCEPT
xxFOR THE LIVE BROADCAST OF THE RACE ITSELF.
6. The PRE-RACE show is scheduled SEPARATELY this Sunday FOR THE LIVE RACE ONLY.
7. The PRE-RACE show is INCLUDED with all the reruns except the Monday rerun
xxwhere it appears to be gone altogether.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
(1) The race is being shown LIVE on NBC and NOT on NBC SPORTS NET!!
It is NOT being shown "tape delayed"!! So pay close attention to the
way the schedule works on race day morning. The pre-race show will
be shown on NBC SportsNet then you switch to NBC (NORMAL NBC)
for the race, then back again to NBC SportsNet for the post-race
show. (This can get tricky if you don't have a recorder with more than
one tuner.) It's most likely that if the show runs short on NBC they will
take it to the end of the listed time which will make the "F1-Extra" show's
listed time correct (for once.)
(2) Practice is on [B]THURSDAY{/B] morning. They do not run the cars on
Fridays at Monaco.
The Following paragraph applies only to the RERUNS of the race
this weekend since "F1-Extra" will not be shown on NBC - only on
NBC SportsNet. If this show matters to you then pay close attention
to the schedule below as some race reruns will have F1-Extra afterwards
and some will not.
it is correct but it usually is. I also double check it with the NBC Sports
NET schedule.

The post-race show "F1 Extra" is shown immediately after the race show
whatever time that may be. NBC schedules "F1 Extra" to start 2 hours after
the start of the race but, in reality, it's always shown immediately after the race
irregardless of the clock. The simplest way to make sure you record "F1 Extra" is
simply to add enough extra time to the race broadcast recording to get (a) any
extra time that was needed to record the entire race including any delays, and
(b) "F1 Extra". My standard is to add at least three hours (!) just to make
sure I cover most eventualities.
I pull this info from from my Tivo's schedule. I have no guarantee thatwhatever time that may be. NBC schedules "F1 Extra" to start 2 hours after

I think that for safety's sake I should add that since the live race is being shown on NBC it's possible (but I think unlikely) that the NBC affiliates could show the race on a tape-delayed basis. So it would be wise, as always, to make sure that what's happening in your world matches what's happening in mine. Don't just program in days and times without making sure it's actually recording what you want.
It just seems strange to me that NBC would go to all the trouble and expense of sending Diffey, Hobbs, and Matchett to Monaco for the weekend only to have them do their network thing at 4/7 A.M. Very unlike normal network thinking.

It sure did come to my mind right away. If he did then he did it with far more deniability involved than MS did. IF he did, it would be a terrific way to get back at Hamilton for all the mind games he's been playing on Nico these past 2-3 weeks. He clearly torqued Hamilton which would have been the goal. On the other hand, I'm not sure that what he did could have been guaranteed to generate the yellow flag needed to make it all work. MS put himself right in traffic - Charlie *had* to yellow flag it. But going down an exit could just as easily have resulted in a "flash yellow" (and probably should have, IMO.)
We may never know. But yes, it certainly came to me once the end result of it was clear.

Don't read this if you don't want to know what happened in qualifying.

I am very happy Nico won. When David Hobbs reported that Nicky Lauda said "Hamilton is the best driver...", I was even happier.
Nice slap to Nicky (the *****) Lauda's face Nico!!!!

I wish LH would have taken the high road here, or at least let his managment do the whining for him. On the one hand - its really hard to pull for a whiner (Vettle, Hamilton, Alonso, Maldanado and others are all guilty of a lot of whining when things don't go their way) on the other hand I have to wonder if the media, in a desperate attempt to write about something other than Merced's dominance, is blowing this totally out of proportion. If they start intentionally wrecking each other then I guess we will know for sure.
