Default Auto blip install and thoughts

Took a bit to set just right, but this thing is amazing. I love it. I have not had the car on track yet but I went out and slammed through some exit ramps and stuff. You hit the brake and as soon as you touch the clutch it makes the downshift buttery smooth to transition into wot. A lot of fun. Their directions for the c5 were wrong on the site so if anyone with a c5 does one and needs help let me know!

I suppose I could, but who knows when it will be on track again, and I'm not savy enough on how to edit a few off ramps into a quick vid. Lol.

That's cool. So it blips to 3000 right?

I didn't know that...cool. I thought the max "blip" speed was a max of 3000 or something from an earlier post on it.

When I went out to test it, I didn't have a baseline, so the first time it revved, it almost hit the limiter

I believe it is set to blip an amount above your current rpm... When you test it at idle, it only revs up a little above idle...

Sounds

What do you plug in the DVD player to?

How does it know what gear you are going into? Or is it better to downshift one gear at a time if you want to go from 4th to 2nd?

Regardless, that would be a fun car to drive

So where did you mount your controller?
Did the Wiring come like this or did you do some modifying

The wiring came ready to go. You have to install the jumpers on your cars line to plug in though

Would you mind posting the correct directions?

Good idea, I think I might give this a try. I was considering mounting it in the glove box. I see where you down shift like 4-3-2 into a corner did you have to come all the way off the brake to get the second down shift in. I had read where it only does it once, unless you come off the brake all the way. Also what parameters are you using as far as the controller?

Autoblip.com I just checked I swear they were cheaper a month ago when I looked. The price must have gone up

I didn't come off the brake at all. I stayed on brake and each time I hit the clutch it blipped.
My dials are set at roughly 12 o'clock position for both.

It works great. Very happy with it

One thing to note that I have found out with the autoblip unit.
If you swap out gas pedals, or otherwise disconnect the gas pedal wires, you need to recalibrate the autoblip unit or it throws the car randomly into limp mode from an error with the APP1 sensor...

took me a while to figure out...
