everyone will be novice on that track for sure. We're going to the Caravan, so I will do parade laps for sure and with a GoPro so I'll at least have videos of the new track. I'm going to run VIR with the Tarheel before, so if you are there and don't have a video of the NCM track, I'll give you what I have. I expect there will be some youtube postings after the Caravan.

Later, Brian
Thanks Brian, will appreciate that. I will be running Chin, probably skipping Tarheel, and then NCM. Five days in a row are a little taxing on my old frame. However, I will leave my car at VIR paddocked between Chin and NCM, so will at least be at Tarheel late Sunday.

I will be there; running Friday and Saturday, anxious to get a track map!
Who else is going? Hooray for all day Thursday trailer drop off. I understand that only 93 octane will be available at the track but happy that fuel will be available. Food service of some sort is planned, uncertain about electricity. Remember folks, this is brand new track and we are first event to run it, expect some bugs to be worked out, be patient.

I hate all of you that are going. I'm one of the lucky one's that got some of that bad hernia mesh that's been all over TV, getting twice daily IV's of very powerful antibiotics so I can't go.

I do have to say that the corvette HPDE's are the best without a doubt, no ricers with huge spoilers clogging everything up and getting in the way! Seriously, WTH do you need with a spoiler if you don't get over 80 mph?!?!?

Every car out there is fast, the track looks great, you all are going to have a blast!

Hey guys and gals,

I know there are a lot of questions. We are preparing an email release that will give important details about the upcoming event.

Instructors will have an opportunity to get on track Thursday, more to come shortly...

An instructor sneak peak Thursday sounds great, Mike. Looking forward to all four days with some great friends. I can't remember being this excited about a track weekend in years.

Hate to say, but I will not be attending. Home front requires I be in town during some of the time frame of the event. I know it will be a lot of fun, and I look forward to reading the reports and watching the vids.
Have a great and safe event.

There will be more detailed NCM information about these events sent out later today or tomorrow.

I will be reaching out to all instructors early next week.

Default Tommy Milner on the track doing hot laps!

During the NCM Caravan, the NCM Motorsport Park had a VIP session for "Hot Laps" at the new track. My wife (Liz), was a passenger with Tommy Milner at the wheel in my 2011 ZO6 Carbon.

She had a blast, please try to not linger on her in car interview with Tommy!

Love it when Pro drivers don't feel the need to thrash someone else's car. He gave a nice ride there which was far from his capabilities and still put a smile on the passengers face, great for your wife! Thanks for sharing.

BTW, that was the West track configuration which is 2.0 miles.

I will post the Grand Full configuration map, 3.2 miles, which is what we will be running to illustrate the turn numbers and corner worker locations very soon.

Here you go gang!

24 corners and 15 corner worker stations on the Grand full course. We will be running the chicane (1A-1B).

Although not perfectly aligned, I've included an older aerial shot below (facing the opposite direction) to give some reference.
