Yes, not quite that scientific though. You can get fresh fluid into the ABS system by working the ABS. Not as effective as a Tech II and it'll take a few runs, but it does work. And Matt is an engineer, so his method has been proven...

I used a matco bleeder I believe but its essentially the same thing. Pulled all my old fluid out and replaced with RBF600. No air in the system and it worked flawless

U have a motive power bleeder and have used it for several years.
As to the stomping on the brakes that will work but won't it contaminate the new fluid with the old stuff. I have super blue in the car now and am switch in to castrol srf.

Yes it does, and you should really flush it again after doing this.

A good buddy of mine was the application engineer at Brembo. He did the development on the Ford GT, Shelby GT500, and the last generation Viper among others. When I asked him a few years ago how to cycle the ABS to flush fluid, that's what he told me that they did.

Morris IMHO NO if you want a truly complete flush of the ABS unit I'm guessing Tech2 tool must be used.
Just make sure you get the fresh clean brake fluid down to the calipers. That's where all the real heat is generated and work is being done.
I do a complete brake system flush minus the ABS purge (no tech2 tool) before each HPDE and no issues so far. I use Synthetic Valvoline® DOT 3 & 4 Brake Fluid •High dry boiling point up to 480°F.
I don't have a Z06 rocket ship.

Take it to any shop with a Tech2 and do it the right way. I can't imagine someone would charge you much to plug it in. It takes a few minutes at most to run the full bleed program and it is done right.
I bet you can find a shop to do it for about the same cost as the gas you waste going to a dirt road.

I got air in the ABS when installing new SS lines. I fought the softness by bleeding and activating the ABS for several weeks then just gave up and took it into the dealership to bleed it with a TECH II. It cost about $100 plus I furnished the fluid. I provided about 5 liters of brake fluid and got none back........ Problem solved.

I also don't know what kind of a bleeder they used. They may have just emptied the standard DOT 3 fluid out of the bleeder and refilled with all five cans of mine. Expensive, but like I said above, problem solved.

Ease is the name of a software scan tool used on a PC. It is a module package and like the Tech 2 and can be purchased is several configurations. Since it is used by many shops it will scan at a much faster rate (40 frames/sec) than the traditional tune/scan software (EFILive or HP Tuners at 10 frames/sec). Since it is bi-directional, it has the software to activate the abs system and others.
